Let the Blogging Begin

As if email, Facebook and MySpace weren't enough...here I am. My very first blog. I can't promise laughter and tears or a very intriguing saga of my life, but I'll try my best.

I was on the phone with my very good friend Megan Cherry (aka MegCher) the other evening and by the end of our 45 minute convo she had convinced me to join the blogging world. The selling points? A way to keep family and friends updated on my life, a way to stay updated in their lives, and you get to decorate your page. Sold!

Soooo....I guess I'll begin with the recent happenings in my life. Most of you know that along with taking over the PR world in Dallas, my weekend profession is the Ultimate Traveling Bridesmaid Extravaganza, Inc. At the beginning of March, I had my first appearance as a bridesmaid in 2008.

On March 1st, my friend Julie got hitched! Julie and I met in 1998 when I started working as a hostess at Good Eats Grill. We became instant best friends, and I also became instant best friends with her friend Joani. We would later title ourselves as "the girls". Very creative, I know. We kept in touch over the college years (they are Aggies) and always visited each other and spent long nights by the fire over Christmas breaks. Julie got engaged last Easter and spent the last several months planning a wedding that turned out to be absolutely beautiful!!! Yes, I was a bridesmaid! :) Love it! The wedding was in Austin at a Villa up on a hill over looking the hill country. The weather was beautiful, the ceremony was great, and I got to see lots of old friends. Julie was gorgeous! I always knew Jules would be the first out of the 3 of us to tie the knot. Anyway, I had such a great time. It was wonderful to get to spend time with the girls. I also got to spend more time with Chris (the groom) and I really really like him....and that always makes the weddings better when you truly care for the couple and know that they are perfect together. On my drive back to Dallas after the weekend ended, I felt very happy for Julie. I felt like I had given her away. Chris and Julie are wonderful together. Congrats you two!!!!

Alright, enough for now, but there will be more to come. :)

xoxo
